The first issue of Wanted starts with Wesley Gibson describing his life. The first few pages have his girlfriend cheating on him with his best friend, his boss making work hell, him getting chased home by "semi-literate cholo fucks" and going home to look online for diseases he might have. His life is crap and he knows it.
The issue begins with Wesley deciding to give up his sucky life and join The Fraternity. He goes through intense training under the guidance of prominent members of the team. Among other things he had target practice with human bodies to get used to splintering bone and flying bits of flesh, he spent fourteen days killing animals by hand to desensitize him and he got his face beaten in for 5 weeks in order to get over the fear of getting punched.
The Killer falling through the sky of another reality's Earth killing superheroes on the way down. He and other members of The Fraternity are on a looting mission to steal a radioactive condom. The condom is obtained so as to remind Ching-Sang of "the good old days", and sway him in Solomons favour.
While Fox and The Killer are in bed talking, Mr. Rictus is continuing his plot to destroy the Fraternity so he can take control without anyone trying to stop him. He has Sucker steal Fuckwits powers and kill Imp, one of The Fraternity's most powerful members.
With all their would-be assassins dead, The Killer and Fox gather weapons so they can fight back. At the same time, Mr. Rictus contacts the other families from inside The Professors hideout (while he eats him) to tell them that things are going to change now that he's in charge.
The final issue of Wanted has the least violence of all the other issues. It consists largely of Wesley's father telling him what the hell is going on. He explains that he faked his death in order to get Wesley to become what he was, The Killer.
